2018 Class Ambassador Applications: Open Friday, Nov. 7th
Have you heard about 2016's Pub Night, stickers, or collaboration with CLS? Did you stop by 2017's Pizza Wasted? Or were you all costumed-out for HalloweenFest last Friday?
These are all examples of programming the Class Ambassadors have put on since the launch of their program this fall. Interested in developing programming to fulfill the below goals? Apply today! You will be teamed with one other individual from the Class of 2018 to serve as the 2018 Class Ambassadors.
The Class Ambassador Program's purpose is to build on the relationships you develop at Grinnell and make them stronger through a focus on unifying class years. The primary goals of this program are to:
1) create a sense of unity within classes and a connectedness to Grinnell’s campus that helps attract and retain students
2) improve students’ success by increasing awareness of campus resources through a stronger student-to-student knowledge-sharing network
3) begin fostering a culture of philanthropy among current students and future alumni
4) formalize relationships between current students and alumni.
The Class Ambassadors' efforts will be aimed at fostering a sense of unity among their class year through class-specific programming. An Ambassador should be someone who is responsible, organized, a "people-person", proud to be a Grinnellian, comfortable working in a group setting, a delegator, a planner, and proactive.
Applications are due on Friday, November 14th at 5PM. Interview invitations will be issued Monday, Nov. 17th and will be held during that week. The 2018 Ambassadors will be announced Monday, Nov. 24th.
