Today I found out that my daughter’s father has stolen 380 dollars from me since November. What kind of person steals from a single parent? In Maine, that is a Class E felony, punishable for up to 6 months and possible payment of 1000 dollars. I have all the proof of it. I just wish I could use it to get him the hell out of our lives. He asked to take Liv for the night last weekend and it is clear she doesn’t know who he is anymore because she sees him once every few months. I just wish he would go away and leave us in peace. I don’t want his child support, it’s nothing but dirty money and I don’t want his “parenting skills” (which consist of sitting on the couch and offering “support” while staring at his telephone) Hind sight is always 20/20. I regret him and us but I am grateful for our daughter.
