Living as a girl is something taken from girls, all over the world, all the time, but they can never take away *being a girl*. Girls can be anything, and if what you are is *surviving*, then that's the most important thing any girl can do. Because girls are the best thing ever.

If you want to be a girl, you are. That's all there is to it. And if you are a girl, then the literal best thing you can do is *be* a girl. Because the world will always, always, need more girls. Girls are the best thing ever.

I think especially at the intersection of sex and race/ethnicity there's a trend of depicting people as predators / threats for having stereotypically masculine traits. it becomes relevant in those situations especially to try and create an environment that depicts constructive, positive masculinity imo. there doesn't need to be gender specific virtues though, that's not real
