Growing up in a wealthy and respected family in the Black Shroud, combat was not a part of her life or a plan for her future. While she typically carries a dagger on her person and has made use of it before, her martial combat knowledge is little more than common sense assumptions and observations. She has no actual practice or training with weaponry. She has always preferred her wits and her tongue in confrontation, and failing that... her wits and her magic.

Raised in the Twelveswood, Faye was tutored in conjury from an early to ensure she could look after herself. In her adulthood, she has decided that conjury is not the ideal fit for her and has begun to study other sorts of aetherical manipulation, trying to find a balance and working toward finding a way to combine their basic principles. She has only just begun her studies and is driven to continue on.

Considering her family’s wealth, forming a tradeskill was not exactly a priority for the young noblewoman. She was, however, taught weaving and embroidery from her mother and continued it as a hobby, and she picked up some practical skills along the way... though cooking well was unfortunately not one of them.

Life in the Shroud pursuing conjury meant plenty of time spent among nature. While she was still prissy to enjoy breaking apart rocks or fishing creatures from lakes, a love for flowers and pretty greenery did help her learn a thing or two.

Largely a pacifist by nature and neither big or strong, nor particularly agile or graceful, Mei has no training or skill in wielding weapons and little desire to learn. She did, however, learn archery to hunt for her tribe, and while she is a decent shot, she only has the heart to hit unliving targets.

After a brush with death, Unmei discovered a knack for casting magic. Still unpolished and learning, she was taught the basic schools of aether manipulation by her benefactor and continues to study. Her true calling when it comes to magic is... perhaps a bit niche and not exactly confined to one discipline.

Growing up deep within the Twelveswood with her tribe, X’unmei picked up a few skills. She learned to make medicines, poisons, and various other concoctions from the herbs and resources readily available. She also learned to cook meals that are edible, if only that, and to clumsily patch up tears in clothing.

In a childhood spent growing up in the Black Shroud and with pressure to be an asset to the Lynx tribe while still shying away from violence, Mei gravitated toward studying plants and herbs and finding more peaceful means to supply her tribe with food and resources.
