Fun fact: the Bandi petitioned to join the Federation in 2364, inviting Starfleet to use their incredibly advanced Farpoint Station as a starbase. However, Fairpoint was actually a captured, shapeshifting spaceborne organism.

Another fun fact: Picard and the Enterprise-D crew freed the creature but pledged Federation help in building a station and working towards membership.

Fun fact 3: not to be confused with the other Deneb IV, a central Federation member world orbiting Deneb Kaitos.

Another fun fact: in the 23rd century, the planet was under the authority of the M'Kroon, who may have been descended from early inhabitants of Vadia IX.

Fun fact 3: going by a comment by Trelane, Vadia IX *might* be the original homeworld of the Q.

Fun fact: the rings of this planet showered the surface with organic material that incorporeal beings to create physical, humanoid bodies for themselves. Energy beings from across the galaxy came to found a colony there.
