Can anyone explain why I find side ships/beta ships better than the main ships?

I noticed when I watch anime and read manga is that the ship between the side characters namely the friends of the male and female MC are cuter than the main ship themselves. I even have a list.

Sure hope this doesn't sound, like, annoying or anything, but that first one was so good! Could I maybe have two other moodboards? One for a Page of Mind (focus on fields/rivers maybe) and a Maid of Hope (focus on scriptures/star charts maybe)? Thank you in advance, btw! ^_^

It's rare for LN/manga/anime to have a title drop, so it's an obvious reaction
