The Flavian Amphitheater. Commissioned by Emperor Vespasian c.72 AD. Placed on the site of the once extravagant, Domus Aurea, the glorious private estate of the highly disliked Emperor, Nero. The lake on this estate was drained and the Colosseum was built as a gift to the people of Rome. Opened in 80 AD and still marvelled at in 2026.

Reinach, a man with an unyielding passion for the timeless beauty of ancient Greece, was captivated by the architecture, interior design, and art of the bygone era. He dreamed of bringing this exquisite atmosphere back to life, and he knew just the place to do it. On the tip of the Baie des Fourmis, nestled on a plot of land surrounded by the azure expanse of the sea, lay a piece of paradise in Beaulieu-sur-Mer. Here, Reinach envisioned a luxurious Greek house, mirroring the grandeur and elegance of the coastal temples he so admired, a tribute to the brilliance of a lost civilization.

I keep returning to the sea when I think about masculinity.
It feels like an exploration of quiet strength. Of beauty that doesn’t need to perform, but simply exists. A mythic figure shaped by stillness, vulnerability, and presence rather than dominance or spectacle.
I find myself drawn to the spaces where softness and power meet. Where identity feels fluid, and where masculine beauty is allowed to be gentle.
