Concerted Efforts
My summer concert season started last weekend with a fizzle instead of some sizzle. But it rebounded nicely the very next day as I caught a local group calling themselves Classical Blast for 2/3 of their show on my way to a hospital to see a family member who has since been released. Next up is Chicago band Classical Blast playing mashup Sound of Silence and Silent Night (which makes it an Xmas tune) with Scottish musician Chris Connelly (from his solo work, his Bowie tribute band Sons of the Silent Age, Ministry, Revolting Cocks). I am a big fan of Chris so I could go on and on about how well he sings and great his songs are but just watch and listen.
