any event where she has to play nice completely and is just NOT in the mood to do it. like if she’s in the right mood she can slip into any role she has to but that’s not always the case and then her being uncomfortable results in her kind of being an asshole.

mostly it’s about her children, or if this is pre them dying it’s about any part of the future she can see. esp when she was little she had bad bad nightmares that were hard to decipher at a young age.

it looks like we’re stuck here, loki had said, far too cheerfully. he drags her off into dark parts of what he claims to be the universe; raven just suspects that he has the ability to teleport and chooses remote areas of the world she hasn’t seen yet.

they’re huddled together in a cave now, but it’s not really gotten worse than this before, so she’ll still go with him. their shoulders are pressed together, and the rain pours down hard enough that raven shivers, in spite of the crackling fire. he can probably feel it – and feel it when she flinches as lightning strikes overhead. raven moves away from him slightly, and pulls her knees to her chest, as though reverting to the small girl she’d once been. “ – sorry.”

When faced with the impossibly obtuse, Mccree resorted to acerbic WIT. Though if the youth were to craft a defense centering around the implausibility of a man callously admitting to MURDER, Jesse may have let him slide. Otherwise...the cowboy would anxiously wait until this discussion was over.

The recently deceased was a serial killer who preyed on women, Mccree’s conscience remained intact so as the vigilante sat cooly in the train cabin. It felt....nice to take a life and likely have a decent nights sleep in the coming hours.

Despite conversing with a filly, Mccree still picked his words as if speaking to a stallion.

HE NEVER LISTENS to her. she wonders if he ever listens to anyone, or if he’s just gone through his whole life not listening and doing the exact opposite of what everyone tells him to do. it probably explains the mythology …

as a result, he’s soaked to the skin. he borrows their shower, only because phoebe insists. it’s too awkward to sneak into piper and leo’s room to borrow one of leo’s shirts ( piper’s already threatened violence on the next person who sees leo’s orbs who isn’t her ). so phoebe just passes loki one of her old shirts. well, one of cole’s old shirts, permanently borrowed before she’d ever known the truth about him. it’s dark, and well worn by her, and it’s bigger on loki than it is on phoebe.

he looks … strangely young. strangely vulnerable, with his little shoulders and the collar of the shirt dipping the way it is. less like a godling and more like … a kid. this unexpected ( and untruthful ) vulnerability is what makes phoebe cross the room and towel his hair dry for him with soft, even movements. she hangs the towel around his neck, lets the material soak up the little droplets dripping.

“sorry i don’t have anything smaller for you,” she pauses, “unless you’re okay with wearing one of my shirts … “

at least sixty percent of her wardrobe are just cropped shirts. but he doesn’t need to know that.
