With everything going on in the world I often find myself longing for peace, quiet, and solace in the garden. And as much I like flowers, I noticed, I sometimes feel more comforted by gardens that are predominantly comprised of shades of green. Some of you may say that green gardens are boring but I feel that certainly does not need to be the case. This scene from Nymans Gardens (I took the photo a few years ago), located in West Sussex, England is a good example. The contrast between the formal over-the-top topiaries and the beautiful classic fountain and the informal natural tall trees surrounding them creates a lot of tension and variety that the eye and the mind is entertained by but yet the overall effect is still very calming. What do you think of this garden scene in particular and green gardens in general? . . . #nymans #nyman #nymansgardens #westsussex #england #greengarden #greengardens #publicgardens #nationaltrust #gardendesign #topiary #topiaries #gardening #garden #gardens #fountain #classicfountain #peace #solace #quiet #englishgarden #englishgardens (at Nymans Gardens) https://www.instagram.com/p/CBVn-87gocY/?igshid=mfh0vsufw57g
