Word of Advice

My dad once told me something that I have never really been able to forget since. He said (in regards to me teaching my class) that “its important to have your colleagues’ respect you. But its equally, if not more, important to have your students respect you.” I think about that everyday in class. Some days I’m not very good at following that advice. But I try, for the most part, to carry that through in class.
