First Things First.
For those of you who do not know, about 6 months ago (Jan/Feb 2014), while job searching along with the rest of the class of 2014 all over the world, I came across Americorps. I had heard about it in a couple classes in college but never actually looked into it until I stumbled upon it by searching something along the lines of "I JUST WANT TO DO GOOD THINGS IN THE WORLD".
Fast forward to March 2014 (first day of my spring break to be exact, don't think I'm really cool, I was going to work) when I woke up received my "congrats, you've been accepted into Americorps NCCC (National Civilian Community Corps) Pacific Region" e-mail at 7am. I have never been happier to have to wake up on a Friday morning at what seemed to be the crack of dawn.
April 2014: I officially received my welcome packet basically saying "awesome you haven't committed serious crimes and you seem to be healthy, welcome."
May 2014: Finally graduated college (William Paterson University))
June-August 2014: worked my last summer (hopefully not forever) at Sabattis Adventure Camp as a C.O.P.E. Director.
August 28th, 2014: 1:06 AM here I am writing this because I have been putting this off and I can't sleep which I guess is awesome.
So stay tuned. follow me on my adventures around the Pacific Region - AK, CA, HI, ID, MT, NV, OR, UT, WA, WY, and Pacific Territories.
