PERFUMER. COLLECTS SCENTS LIKE MEMORIES. ENJOYS THE SEA. HER LOOK: NATURAL UNDERSTATEMENT. SELF-EVIDENT. AND ALWAYS CASUAL.
Having pursued a life of wanderlust in the past, including numerous years spent in New York, Spanish-bred Claudia de Pablo settled down in Paris with her husband a year ago. Together they built the Tramuntana brand to offer individually tailored perfumes. The name of the brand holds a special meaning for de Pablo: Tramuntana, the largely untouched area of the island where she grew up, bears her fondest memories.
De Pablo’s attraction to scents arose early. Whenever she had a new perfume, she would run into somebody on the street with the same perfume. This lack of exclusivity bothered her. She explains, »I wasn't fond of sharing something of such intimate quality – something worn on my skin – with others.» Despite her lack of professional training in perfume making, her inner nature, an extreme perceptiveness to scents, guided her way in founding her own perfume brand. Of MARC O’POLO clothes, Claudia says: »They are simple, classy pieces and comfortable. I like them for their clear cuts and premium quality.»
