Can I also just say… confused about their choice to cram the Merrick plot line into this season, especially considering how much of tvl they cut out… ik they killed David so they needed to find a new way to involve her but do you know what other Talamasca agent would have been an excellent potential connection to Merrick (who I was actually hoping to see this season (even though she’s technically a qotd character not a tvl character but that didn’t stop them with baby jenks etc) but didn’t for now)
JESSE FUCKING REEVES… who, if they end up casting her to match her appearance in the books, could be a fucking DEAD RINGER FOR MADELEINE, which would just add to the Claudeleine angst in a much more interesting and less sexualized way… especially considering them introducing the whole concept of lookalikes with Regina…. man there are so many more interesting choices that could have been made here… maybe they don’t want to tie themselves to having Delaney on for another season because tv schedules but still… I’d question if they wanted to get stuff out cause they were unsure about getting renewed but it’s not like they’re gonna resolve the Akasha and great conversion plots in two more episodes either….
Plus I don’t really see them adapting the “Jesse becomes Gabrielle’s companion” plot point considering what they did with Gabriella so it would be a fun way to keep the wlw coding of her character while working with the changes they made
