Here's my tribute fanart for The Super Mario Galaxy Movie (2026)! Took me several days to draw all of this! I couldn't include EVERY possible character that was featured in the movie, just some of the most important ones, so it is what it is. I thought it was decent enough, plus it's got plenty of easter eggs to boot! Hope ya’ll enjoy my work I've put out here, folks!

I saw the new trailer for the Super Mario Galaxy Movie and OMG look at Yoshi!! I love him so much 😭 Also, looks like Yoshi will only just say “Yoshi” and other gibberish sounds like he does in the games. While I’m one of the few people who sort of wish he could talk (because if DK could, why not Yoshi?), I’m fine with it. However I do wonder if they got Totaka to voice Yoshi again or someone else.

Poor Toad tho. He is so jealous lol Honestly there’s no doubt that he and Yoshi will likely have some bonding moments and Toad will grown to love Yoshi near the end.

Nice references to Yoshi’s Island and Yoshi’s Safari aside, I’m gonna assume that the reasons why Mario and Luigi are babies in the right image is due to magic or something. I don’t see this being a flashback or even a time travel thing.

Okay while I wasn’t expecting Birdo to be in this movie, Mouser and Clawgrip are the characters that I was DEFINITELY NOT expecting to appear at all! Does that mean that Wart, Tryclyde, and Fry Guy might appear in this move as well? I wonder if Yoshi and Birdo will interact at some point.

As excited as I am with this trailer, I am a bit concerned that there seems to be way too much going that I wonder if any of the things we've seen so far will even fit in the movie. One of the main problems with the first movie was its pacing so hopefully this won't be the same case here. Maybe if this movie is a bit longer then maybe I can see all of these things making it in.

Overall, I can't wait for this movie to be released! I am so ready to see more of Yoshi! <3

Clawgrip! possibly the most suprising MARIO Character to show up in the Galaxy Movie! I'm writing this before the Movie comes out but I doubt Clawgrip will do much besides be a lackey in Warts sequence which I am very excited to see!... It's Clawgrip. what else is there to say? do I have to write more? my answer is no.

Super Mario Brothers 2 in the... Super Mario Movie 2?

The hype train is out of the station after the new trailer dropped today. There's not much to say. It looks neat! One thing that is absolutely batshit fuckin bananas is it appears that not onlt is Birdo in the movie BUT... SO IS MOUSER AND CLAWGRIP?!?!?

I don't think we've seen these characters since Super Mario Brothers 2!? Wild!

I heard rumors a while back that part of the story is that Bowser Jr. hires a team to help him get Bowser back... Could it be he hires Wart and his gang? Could we see these obscure characters make a come back? What's next... Geno?... Mallow?

It's neat to note as well that these characters appear in a casino like area and in SMB2 the way you could gain lives was a slot machine at the end of levels.

I'm so surprised to see those characters. Even if it's a small cameo for just that one scene I'm still so excited!
