friendly reminder that if you have a head cold, the smartest thing is still to test and see whether it's COVID. i've had three friends in the past couple of weeks be like "oh it's just a cold" and then only tested at the urging of someone else or for some specific reason and then were SHOCKED to find out it was COVID.
this used to be our first impulse! oh no, i feel sick, is it COVID! and these are people who isolated and masked and took COVID seriously. if the reaction is slipping even for the "responsible" folks, then it feels worth a reminder: your upper respiratory mess? COVID IS STILL THE FIRST THING TO RULE OUT, ARGH
