DAY 5 of Seven Days of RoLo Love: They Were Always End Game
🌪️ 2000s – My RoLo theme song for this era …🎵 “We Belong Together” – Mariah Carey (2005)
The early 2000s were… strange for RoLo.
We had what was clearly building into a romantic relationship … more intense kisses, lingering glances, late-night talks, not-so-subtle hints. It felt like the slow burn was finally about to catch fire.
But then?
They started dating (and sometimes even marrying) other people. Storm got caught up in political alliances. Logan got pulled into messy entanglements. And just like that, the RoLo spark was shoved to the back burner.
But even in the chaos, the tension was still there. You could see it in Logan’s fury when Ororo married someone else. You could feel it in those quiet, stolen moments when no one else was watching.
Even Hugh Jackman and Halle Berry publicly backed the pairing. They saw the chemistry, the power, the potential long before canon did.
This was the era of “We’re not together… but we could be.” Of jealous glares, unresolved chemistry, and unfinished sentences. Of us RoLo’ers hanging tight while the 616 Universe drove us mad … but at least the Ultimate universe threw us a bone and turned up the heat.
We were so close. And if you were paying attention? You knew RoLo was far from over. Little did we know, the next decade was about to take RoLo to a whole new level!
RoLo through the decades rolls on tomorrow with 2010–2020! In the meantime, drop your favorite Wolverine & Storm moments in the comments - we’ve got to keep the RoLo love train chugging for Marvel’s ultimate power couple. ⚡🖤
