I'm sorry, but I can't draw anything right now, because I'm on medication that not only ruins my concentration, but also makes my hand shake ever so slightly.

I can't draw or paint minis at the moment. It'll get better as soon as I'm off these meds - in a few months.

I'm sadly a day late and had to take pictures of pictures for this but I wanted to celebrate International Vulture Awareness Day nevertheless!

This beautiful beast is Gomez, a gorgeous White-Backed Vulture with whom we shared 3 very 'brat' summers 😄

From deceptively adorable rescue chick to proud surveyor of his kingdom (aka the whole sanctuary) Gomez's greatest hits include:

- Walking very slowly and deliberately up wooden steps when he could have just flown

- Generally pretending he couldn't fly and needed to be bribed with treats to complete his training

- Fiercely staring down any volunteer who got too close to his beloved perch on the top of the volunteer's lapa

- Objecting to me stopping him chewing an electric cable by savaging my knee (yup it really hurt even though he was still a youngling)

- Holding both my friend and I hostage simultaneously even though one of us was in our room and one of us was in the shower block two doors down

- Turning his beak up at horse penis, despite eating anything going in the wild, so he could hold out for the good stuff

Gomez eventually realised he had bigger kingdoms to conquer and self-released once he became more and more comfortable with flying but I cherish the time we spent with that cheeky little character 😆

Vultures are fascinating, critical members of the ecosystem. They play a vital role in the natural cycle of life and greatly benefit their environments and the other creatures that share them. I would encourage anyone to learn more about nature's sassiest clean-up crew and find out what you can do to protect these beautiful birds 🥰

What the hell are all the f/a teams even doing at this point? I wanna know.

ALRIGHT, RECAP TIME!!!

well, technically summaries of every F/A Faction, buuuuut the latest info we got is at the last sentence of every team explanation

(i'll separate them into different paragraphs for each team)

The Furry Side: This team basically replaces Team Switzerland from the First War, as Rowan is currently experimenting on creating furry humanoid hybrids with Mutagen or whatever, to supposedly 'unite' both Fluff and Angst Sides (under them, of course). So far, Kay and Ellie were the only ones who underwent the transformation. That is, until Avery betrayed Angst and joined the Furry Side, which was when they got injected with the Mutagen to transform into Gryphon Ave.

The War Criminals: Abi, Bea, and Trinity planned, from the beginning sparks of the Second War, to commit war crimes. Or, at least, their definition of 'war crimes'. Because man, Abi destroyed 3 cities at this point (along with burning some other individuals), Bea burned her share of people, and Trinity... burned Henry VIII. Anyway, the latest info we got is that Abi's now tinkering with her magical pendant to see if she can fit more powers in it (other than Telekinesis/Levitation, which she currently has).

The Clean-Up Crew: Altair and Alshain finally teamed up together after being in separate Factions in the First War; the Fluff Side for Altair, and Angst for Alshain. Their first line of action? Letting Alshain kill the rest of the Angst members in their Headquarters (sans Jam, Rei, and San). Then they reunited and destroyed a camp of survivors from the destroyed cities with Alshain's spell, as a warning to other rivals. They're currently trying to find the War Criminals to, well, clean them up.

The Fluff Side: Unfortunately, nothing much is known about the current status of this Faction. Keynon and Red, both Fluff members from the First War, are missing and possibly dead. Pandora and Hailey are (presumably) currently staying in the Fluff Headquarters. Altair slipped out from behind their backs to join Alshain. Then there's DJ, who left HQ after the First War to find a magical amulet that grants them plant powers. This turned them into a human-plant hybrid, and they were lost in the woods soon after. That is, until they encountered Jam in the Angst HQ, and promptly wrapped her in vines before passing out.

The Angst Side: Unlike Fluff, many things happened in this Faction. Rei retired to their home to essentially become a househusband after the First War. Then, as mentioned above, Ave betrayed Angst to join the Furry Side, with Alshain doing the same thing to join Altair. Moon and Adri, both Angst members from the First War, stayed in the Angst Headquarters... until they got killed with the rest of the members by Alshain. Jam, however, left HQ to spy on the other Factions for any input on future plans. Let's just say that it messed up her mind a bit, and now she's trapped in vines by DJ after encountering them when visiting the HQ. San, the newest member, saw this and told Rei about it, and now they're on the way to this predicament.

The True Balance: This Faction is the closest to what a Neutral Faction is supposed to be. Though he's well-known for joining any Faction that hasn’t been on equal power with their rivals in the First War, Astro (the only member and now Eldritch Star God) hasn't done that yet in the Second. But he has his eyes on the Angst Side as it's falling apart.

I don't get it. A war is supposed to have sides that has goals. What are each sides' goals here? It seems to just be pointless fighting at this point. Each one just wants, well, control I guess. A war's sides should have fixed goals to gain from all the fighting, but they don't seem to be clear at all? Except Rowan, everyone else is just... fighting

well, it might be bordering to ‘pointless fighting’, but i swear all of them have their reasons

The Furry Side wants to turn everyone in all Factions into furries and possibly rule whatever place there is.

The War Criminals don’t really have a stable goal, other than to ‘commit war crimes’. That is, burn everyone and kill people.

The Clean-Up Crew’s goal is to, well, ‘clean up’ or kill all rivaling teams.

The Angst Side wants to spread emotional pain to everyone around them.

The Fluff Side, on the other hand, wants to spread happiness to others.

The True Balance wants to balance both of them at the same time.

also Anon, you should keep in mind that the War as a whole started with the Fluff Side vs. the Angst Side, with Team Switzerland as the Neutral Faction. Meaning that this was only a battle between pain and happiness. Then those ‘Neutral’ Factions came along and derailed everything, making it seem like it’s pointless fighting at this point.

I would love to see a story or movie of the people that live in a superhero-occupied city where shit's always getting destroyed. Or the clean-up crew that has to follow the heroes & villains around, repairing damages, making amends to the people harmed by "heroics." Does such a thing already exist?
