We got an email with a ridiculously in-depth cleaning checklist before we moved out. We busted our assess for two days scrubbing every inch of the place.
I did a walkthrough with someone from the office after we moved out and the only thing she said wasn't clean enough was the freezer (which we kept pretty clean while we lived there, but did forget to deep clean it when we left).
How does that incur two $100+ cleaning fees?!?! One of which appears to be the "between tenants" cleaning that I've never been charged for before.
Airbnb Cleaning Costs
The first thing a lot of Airbnb hosts look for is cleaning costs. Airbnb is a huge company that offers a lot to you to make money with property. Yet, there is one thing that is not offered by them and that is cleaning. It is strange since cleaning is one of the most important things when listing a property. If your place isn't clean then you'll get bad reviews. By getting bad reviews your property will tank and that will affect you. So, how do you look for these costs? What do you do for cleaning? How can you ensure your property is up to Airbnb's standards?
Your own fees
The reality is that the fees for cleaning do not exist. Or rather, you make them yourself. Cleaning fees will be up to you entirely. You decide how much to pay. Which products to buy. How often to do it. We recommend doing something a lot easier. Hire some extra help. In the past cleaning companies focused only on homes. Well, Airbnb is a home as well. So the cleaning is almost the same but with extra steps. House cleaning is easy because we do the cleaning for ourselves only. But, for Airbnb cleaning, you need to take care of your guests. Offer a good and clean space. This will boost your ranking and with that receive more guests.
Who is in charge of a vacation rental cleaning?
In a few words, you. Or whoever is in charge of the property. In the case of that, you need to be aware that cleaning is important. There is something called verified status in Airbnb. Properties with this badge get better ranking and hence more income. If you want your property to be on that list then look for help. Vacation Rental Cleaning Services in Chicago are everywhere. Look for the one that has experience with Airbnb turnover. As we mentioned, it is not just a cleaning service anymore. You need specialized help.
Cleaning fees
My host forgot to charge me a cleaning fee. They are now asking me to pay an additional 50 (according to her it’s usually 100). This is my first Airbnb. Am I obligated to pay this even though I’ve already paid?

Cleaning fees
Currently I am charging $25 for cleaning a one bedroom...1 bath apartment. It seems to be taking me about 90 minutes to clean it. What would be your cleaning fee for this? The rate for the apartment moves but seems to settle around $75 per night.

I think "Cleaning Fees" is a scam if you don't charge any then PM me Northern or Southern California.
