Sorry it took me so long to respond, but I had a lot of fun thinking about these questions and how they would apply to my OCs. I decided to answer all of them for Quel, Clearan and Erlisen:
1.) How do they respond to having a song stuck in their head? Does that happen to them often?
Quel is absolutely the type of person to hum quietly under their breath, especially Quel I and II; it doesnât happen often, but when it does, theyâre making it everyoneâs problem; Quel III has better self control and is more mindful of who might be listeningÂ
Erlisenâs patented solution to having a song stuck in her head is getting a different song stuck in her head
Clearan doesnât get songs stuck in her head
11.) How expressive is their face? Are they easy to read?
Quel is very expressive but sheâs working on getting better at controlling her emotions and not letting them show in publicÂ
Erlisen is also extremely expressive, but also a pretty good actor and good at using the fact that people believe them to be an open book to their advantageÂ
Clearan has a really good poker face; her 11th incarnation is slightly more expressive than the previous ones, especially when it comes to showing curiosity and fascinationÂ
12.) How do they deal with experiencing physical pain?
Quel has endured their fair share of physical pain in their lives and has a pretty high pain threshold, to the point where she sometimes doesnât even notice how serious an injury is if theyâre distracted enoughÂ
Clearanâs first response to any kind of physical pain is analysing whatâs causing it and then keeping a clear head and finding the best way to treat itÂ
Erlisen isnât accustomed to pain and good at dealing with it at all; it doesnât help that their body has a pretty low stress threshold when it comes to triggering a regenerationÂ
13.) Are they easily insulted?
Quel is definitely easily insulted and will also take any affront to her loved ones personally
Clearan is extremely easily offended when it comes to insults to her professional capabilities and integrity; meanwhile, she often takes more personal insults in stride
14.) Would they prefer to act or react?
Quel used to be very reactive and careful not to overstep the laws and societal norms of Gallifrey; theyâre also kind of bound by the chain of command within the Chancellery Guard, although her second incarnation slowly got much more confident when it comes to taking initiative and Quel III has gotten used to being in command and proactiveÂ
While Clearan values patience, she knows that in her profession, it is often necessary to take initiative; when she acts, it is out of convictionÂ
Erlisen is very impulsive and always prefers action to waiting and reacting
21.) What was their favorite way to play as a child (ex: playing pretend, playing games with rules like tag,)?
Quel would play various traditional games with his older Cousins as a timetot, or hide from his tutors in the greenhouse, climb trees in the garden and generally get into much mischief.
If you ask Clearan what she got up to in her youth, sheâll answer only good respectable timetot activities, thank you very much. Itâs true that she preferred to do solitary activities, like reading or studying.
Erlisen has always been adventurous, sneaking out of the House to go explore the grounds and reading stories or watching films about and from alien cultures and imagining exploring them herself.
31.) What story gave them nightmares as a child?
For Quel, it was your typical spooky Gallifreyan nursery rhymes. Zagreus, tales about the Great Vampires and the likeâŠ
Clearan has always been pretty unfazed about most things but even she wasnât immune to the classics, same as Quel.
Erlisenâs nightmares right now are very much grounded in realityâŠ
37.) How often are they the one to initiate physical contact?
It entirely depends on who Quel is interacting with. With Daybreak or Midnight, sheâll often initiate a hug or other comforting or affectionate physical gestures, with others she is much more reserved. Sheâll reciprocate but usually not initiate.
Clearan initiates physical contact only where medically necessary. It is extremely rare for her to show physical affection even towards those closest to her.
Erlisen is really big on showing physical affection, especially with Daybreak.
49.) How would they respond to their ears ringing for an extended period of time?
Quel has had their ears ring from explosions before, but if it suddenly happened for an extended period of time instead of going away fairly quickly, she would probably get concerned and consult Clearan to find out the reason for it and try to fix it. If it went on for long enough, it would slowly but surely drive her crazy.
Clearan, just like when experiencing pain, would immediately try to find out whatâs causing the problem and try to find a solution. She has pretty good mental control and would probably be able to shut it out pretty well, but if for some reason she couldnât get rid of it, it would quickly get on her nerves, too.
Erlisen would probably get very concerned very quickly. Theyâd get more and more irritated and desparate the longer it went on.
