you do feel a slight breeze, like, in the middle of the frozen process.
even after he unfreezes, he’s still processing what’s going on.

now he’s trying to form a sentence, but it only comes out in stutters.
finally, after waiting for what seems like forever for him to calm down, he just hugs you. SO HARD.
he’s literally crying, you broke him.
once he’s fully recuperated, he stops hugging you, but he’s still a little shaken.
clearing his throat. he’s about to pretend he’s fine.
“s-sure, not like i’ll mind…”
you know he minds and he knows he minds. just go along with his little lie, though, and just bask in the sweater for hours.

he hands it over, a little in shock, but it makes you more endearing.
he just. Watches you curl up in it as his heart races.

no book that he could’ve read nor written could have ever prepared him for that question.
he hid himself behind a book when you asked though.
he was blushing FIERCELY; he felt like a pyro slime had just come to existence in his face.
he’s trying to practice his “it’s all cool” voice in his mind, but he doesn’t realize how long it takes.
that is, until you snap him back to attention.
“oh, yeah, sure, of course…”
he sounds so. Shy. but he’s so cute.
he’s still hiding behind his book a half hour later, but he’s sneaking glances as subtly as possible.
he’s in a state of weakness; best not to make any other romantic moves that he’s not prepared for today.
