My Maxine is 1 year old today. You all have shared so much love for her this past year. I often scroll back and read through your comments. I get emotional and overwhelmed by the thought that so many people, who have never met her, have poured out their love for her through Instagram. You have been there from her very first photos and through her first surgery. I can't tell you how much your support meant during that time. There is so much I could tell you about her and what joy she has brought to my life. But it would take too long, so I will share just a few of my favorite things about her. The way she scrunches up her nose when she smiles at me. The way she growls and giggles at the same time. The way she puts her arm around my neck and plays with my hair. The way she calls me "mum".
