Tiger Picked the wrong Canadian Swing Instructor
Let me share with you how I arrived at this headline.
This morning I watched a new YouTube post by Wayne DeFrancesco he titled: Tiger Woods Now vs 2000 Swing Analysis. In it DeFrancesco offered his observation that Tiger no longer drops his hands down the swing plane as he did in his glory days. Instead he makes a substantial straight down - vertical - drop of his hands which I feel tends to put him into more of a hitters motion. It certainly leaves him with a very small pocket through which to actually contact the ball in balance.
What Tiger needs to do is watch this video by Shawn Clement entitled Arms Falling Down the Plane Line. Moe Norman's downswing traces the exact line he came up on. Lynn Blake teaches Kelly's Golf Machine talking about 'tracing' the path back to the ball. Tiger needs to get back in touch with Swiinging and using gravity and momentum to advance the ball as Shawn Clement - who should be Tiger Woods swing instructor - makes plainly clear. Now his putting - that's another story.
