So I couldn’t resist rewatching this episode. Its one of my favorites honestly, because it has so much banana 🍌 emperor of disaster aka Cleon XII in his peak Worstness.
Also because you see the banana 🍌 essence in XI. Yes, he is mellow and harmless when compared with the absolute disaster his son - brother - clone ended up being, but still.
Exhibit A: Look at the terrible guy joking about not ruining good wine with poison, when he has two terrified diplomats expecting death and some torture.
He then toast to good health and a promising future with the guys he knows are more doomed than a parent figure in a Disney movie.
Telling them promptly they are going to die.
And here you can see how fast it will come to slapping the snot out of each other when XII is Dusk and XIII is Day! The emotional stable self is in all Cleons!
And he ends the wine tasting evening of entertainment mirroring XII telling very doomed people they are doomed:
So yeah I accept that XII takes the cake in being the absolute 🍌 banana The Worst, still we see how we got this absolute horror, that plays cat and mouse with his grandson - brother - imperfect clone, just to have his own personal retirement royal telenovela:
