"Where were you?
Thor looked down at Jane, taking a deep breath. “You know where I was.” He was almost a bit confused by her question.
Jane looked around as she had been doing some research and then was in the throne room. She knew Thor would be back soon from one of his missions with shield. She saw Loki on the throne. "Loki. Thor. Thor said you died. How is this possible ?"she asked
Loki had been enjoying his moment, eyes closed beatifically when he was interrupted.
“Thor has always been quick to proclaim my absence. It suits him to stand as heir to Asgard uncontested. As such, rumours of my demise have been greatly exaggerated. Or perhaps I am no true Loki, but a construct of your imagination? Perhaps I am your guilt made flesh, or some desire you have yet to acknowledge...”
