I don't frequently commission gear because, well, I'm stubborn and when I get an idea in my head I will spend weeks figuring out how to make it so what I want. This was the exception. My character this past weekend had a sword that was her most valued (and valuable) possession and I wanted to have a decent physrep of it. The description of it that I was given was a red curved blade with a intricate gold and silver basket hilt. And despite trying to figure out a good way to make or design it, I kept coming up empty handed. So I badgered cleverrobot into taking a commission. And got back what just might be the prettiest damn LARP sword to have been made.
