Idk but I imagine teenage Clarke being so- messy?? Clarke while cooking: *Get's a little tipsy sipping wine* "Wait- Wine?? did you use wine?? spaghetti doesn't have wine in it Clarke? can you cook clarke??" "It's all about the creative process, Lexa." *doesn't know shit about candles but tries any way* *ends up lighting all of them and Lexa almost has an aneurysm but doesn't say anything* and puppy Lexa just fucking scarfing that overcooked shit doWN BECAUSE "BAE MADE FOOD!! FOR US!!"
Yes to all of this!!! Clarke’s messy cooking is either delicious or just a disaster, but no matter the result Lexa loves it and always eats up what Clarke has made because as you said “BAE MADE FOOD”. And she ends up washing the dishes and she helps Clarke clean up the kitchen.
re: Clexa headcannons: food related and or after arguments in canon? or anything ur in the mood for
I like to think about lexa sharing food with clarke. like clarke is a little spoiled because her family was well off on the ark but. the best of what they had isn’t the same as the simplest of stews the grounders make? not the same as fresh herbs and spices. and the fruit was stale, up in the vacuum of space?
lexa taking clarke blackberry picking, how to avoid the wasps and the wild birds and the brambles and find the big ripe clusters. the juice staining the tips of their fingers and the seeds stuck between their teeth.
and lexa? all the things she had to learn to be commander, but none of it was in the kitchens? except anya’s father was a baker, and she knows how to make a sort of bread out of salt and flour and water, flip it over and over on the metal plate in the fire until it puffs up fluffy and soft. showing clarke how to do it and not burn her fingers.
also the messiness of food that clarke never saw? it’s not like the natblidas spend time prepping in the kitchens but lexa’s good with knives and knows how to butcher a goat? clarke’s stomach turning? she picks at her vegetables and lexa feels bad enough about it that she has one of her workers take clarke over to the east field, where they’re planting? clarke with blisters from pulling beans out of the ground and her feet are sore as hell but she doesn’t mind it? her fingers smell like rich earth and the dirt on her skin is better than blood on her hands.
Okay plssss headcannons about HighSchool Lexark AU??
1. With Lexa I have always loved Nerd!Lexa. Like pushing her glasses up the bridge of her nose while she studies. But not just a quiet mouse of a girl. She just takes her studying seriously. On the weekends find her with her girlfriend Clarke having some drinks.
2. I always really like the idea of childhood friends who turn into sweethearts. (Insert plug for my Clexa AU Treehouse - which I am too lazy right now to link - it’s on my Ao3.)
3. You gotta have a heated make-out session under the bleachers at some point. After a big game or after one of Clarke’s practices. Maybe Lexa’s sitting in the stands waiting for Clarke to be done with practice and once it’s over and every one clears out of the gym they just attack each other.
4. Clarke leaving Lexa little loves notes to find in her locker. Especially if she knows Lexa has exams or is having a hard day.
5. Lexa getting pissed off after the homecoming game when someone takes a cheap shot at Clarke and finding the girl who did it. Don’t mess with Lexa or her girlfriend. If you attack Clarke, you attack Lexa.
Ugh I live for fluffy headcanons that involve lexa and clexa babies 😩👌
Me too ^__^ I’m glad you’ve been enjoying them! It’s been a welcome respite from the doom and gloom that YG has been up until recently - one more chapter of fluff to go! Lol I just realized tho - Clarke and Lexa are practically having fluffy Clexa baby headcanons along with us, in the fic.
Will Clarke and Lexa have any more pups after their first litter? Maybe a couple years down the road because three are a handful :P. I like the idea of them having a big happy family.
Yes, they will! Actually, the events of Walk the Line, the follow-up that I have planned to Young Gods, deals both in fluff with the first litter, and in the second litter’s creation 😏 Uncle Roan will arrive just in time to take the pups on a vacation tour of Azgeda, and Clarke will be in heat…
clexa au headcannon enemies to lovers
They lock eyes in the budget cuts meeting and Lexa honestly worries for her safety for a second when the meeting ends and the chief of surgery storms her personal space demanding an answer. Though Lexa suspects that she could say anything and everything and the firey blonde would still shove her finger in her face and promise to end her.
Lexa storms around her apartment that night bitching to Anya about the chief of surgery mucking up the plans and boycotting the emergency room to keep children’s hospital funds from being cut for the new add on. “You’d think she’d appreciate the extra space and updated equipment,” she seethes into the skype call and Anya just chuckles. “You’re the owner of the hospital, Lexa. If that’s what you want to do, then do it.”
Clarke Griffin’s little boycotting charade pulls her into five, five more meetings with the hopital’s executive staff and the board and it’s her, not Dr. Griffin, not the CFO, not the team of financiers who drew up the budget cute, her who has to explain to the board why the hospital’s emergency room has been defunct for the past week.
She is exhausted and angry when Clarke corners her in the parking lot and Lexa has to clasps her hands together to keep from grabbing the surgeon and removing her from her walking path, but then Clarke shoves a folder into her chest and Lexa is too bewildered and busy stumbling backwards to give the surgeon the piece of her mind she probably should have.
The folder is filled with the medical files of an eight year old named Aden who is on dialysis treatment at the children’s hospital and is projected to have about 4 weeks off dialysis to live if the children’s hospital’s dialysis program is shut down in the budget cuts. She picks up the phone and calls Clarke that night, wondering “just out of curiosity” what his other options may be. “None,” Clarke bites out and the line goes dead.
Lexa has a headache for a solid week and hasn’t seen her bed for almost twice as long because she’s busy sitting at her computer night after night, researching. She has Clarke’s address pulled up on her employee records on her computer after the seventh night of no sleep and shows up at the surgeon’s door before she can stop herself. Clarke is surprisingly soft and intimate in this way, though Lexa supposes that makes sense at 9pm on a Friday. The surgeon is in white cotton pajama pants with pink polkadots and a fuzzy white shirt that looks really soft, Lexa wants to reach out and– she shakes her head and holds up a binder which Clarke takes skeptically after getting over her initial shock of seeing her boss’ boss and sworn enemy at her door.
“This is highly experimental and totally out of his family’s budget,” Clarke tells her sipping on her tea as she flips through the binder. Lexa shifts beside her on the couch and sets her own cup of tea down. “Yes, I know, but hypothetically, if he could afford it, could you do it?”
“It would be the first of its kind done in the US.”
“But could you do it?”
Lexa tries to ignore whatever it is that happens in her stomach when Clarke scoffs. “Of course I can.”
She leaves an hour later and Clarke hands her back the folder. “They can’t afford it.”
Lexa nods, “I know,” and smiles.
Clarke has a voicemail sometime later in the week from Aden’s mother saying they’ve thought about it and would like to accept the hospital’s generous donation and do the surgery. She has no idea what the woman is talking about until she opens her door, briefcase in hand and there’s a binder on her porch with a bow and a note. Better start studying, it says and Clarke feels something tight and warm in her chest.
A week later, Lexa is on her couch again, but this time there is no tea and Lexa’s lips are busy elsewhere. Clarke runs her hands up and down the CEO’s back, holding her tight and pressing her face into the crook of a warm neck. “Thank you,” she whispers.
Lexa hums and doesn’t bother to pick up the new budget proposal and the packet of Aden’s positive surgery results that slides off the couch and onto the floor when Clarke shifts and pulls her close.
OMG Lexa waiting hand-and-foot on a VERY pregnant grumpy-pants clarke. Omegas are totally really touchy and sensitive during the last trimester and poor lexa is torn between being super excited for the pups, guilty for somewhat having a hand in making clarke miserable, and baffled at Clarke's wild mood swings, especially when clarke is about ready to pop and can barely move from her nest of pillows and furs and is suddenly sobbing because she saw a small, cute bird on the balcony.
This is 110% accurate. Poor Lexa is somewhat bewildered, but she wants more than anything to make Clarke as comfortable as possible. Sometimes it’s not possible at all - Clarke’s just gonna be uncomfortable, because she’s humongous and she’s about to have three small beings depending on her and everything ACHES and she wants to eat weird things at odd hours, and sometimes having Lexa hovering around her nervously drives her up a wall, and while she tries to keep her temper, on occasion she snaps at her mate to gtfo. When Lexa comes creeping back in after several hours spent taking out her frustrations in the training ring, Clarke’s always very apologetic, and Lexa forgives her instantly - but God are they both gonna be glad when the pups are born.
