If you watch something on YouTube/social media that you don't like, you don't have to watch it. The rest of this is just me ranting lol

I like to watch a lot of satirical stuff on YT, I'm just that sort of person, and I like to go into the comments to see the discourse. Sadly, I keep seeing a lot of comments that are some variation of 'This Is Against My Opinion And Is Dumb'.

A) This is a satirical piece. I understand if you don't know that because you're unfamiliar with the channel. However, that doesn't justify Karening all over in the comments because it's Not Your Opinion. Not your circus, not your monkeys.

B) Not your circus, not your monkeys. This is the Year Of Our Lord Two Thousand And Twenty-Four. For the love of the mother of this green earth, just click away.

You don't have to watch something you don't like. No one is forcing you to except yourself. If you're only watching to Have an Opinion, let me tell you right now: It's not worth it. You're entitled to your opinion - but so is everyone else. No one's opinion is better or more important than anyone else's.

Plus, because I'm not sure you know this, when you leave a comment on a video saying you don't like it, all the algorithm sees is engagement. You're automatically making it easier for more people to see the thing you didn't like.

So, moral of the story is that you shouldn't even dislike or downvote the thing. Just click away. Don't engage. Just Say No.
