Extension of Climate Continuum (2020) collaborative project with @organprinter and @brian.barr . I made some test plaster molds with 3D printed designs last summer. A visualization of the climate data became a ceramic piece 🔥 It is not as decent as @hammerlyceramics ‘s awesome mold casting. Climate Continuum was made in collaboration with @organprinter and @brian.barr The piece was part of the 2020 IEEE Visualization Arts Program. This 3D printed data sculpture illustrates global average temperature from 1860 to 2016. The color changes from purple to pink when participants hold the piece with warm hands or the ambient temperature is higher than 31°C or 88°F.
