In this project, the old façade became a filter. The envelope became a climate control device. We kept its rhythm and added an internal steel lattice that supports new floors, allowing the brick shell to breathe. Natural porous concrete, green walls, and passive air stacks created airflow. Adaptive reuse is a subtraction methodology, removing the unnecessary until the structure teaches you what to keep. www.ianfulgar.com
