When adventurers get together to make change in the world, some pretty epic things happen. . At approximately 9:00 AM PST on July 13, 2019, GIVE legends Chris Price, Jake Allison, and Daniel Trevor summited Mount Rainier via the Emmons Glacier Route. At 14,411 feet, Mount Rainier stands as the highest peak in Washington and the most heavily glaciated peak in the contiguous United States. Impressive as this peak may be, its prominence is overshadowed only by the mission driving Chris, Jake and Dan to the summit. . This climb was organized and led by past Thailand GIVE guide, Chris Price, in order to raise funds for GIVE's education programs in rural communities in Laos, Nepal, and Thailand. In his own words, here's why: . "Of the poorest billion people in the world, there are a million people with a genius IQ. There are millions of artists, entrepreneurs, leaders, engineers and people who have the potential make a positive impact on our planet. Education is humanity's great equalizer and the world is a better place when everyone has an opportunity to learn, grow and share their gifts. Climbing big mountains is a collective effort and so is collecting the means to put these children through school. Everyone plays a part and every donation makes an impact." . One-hundred percent of the funds raised will go directly towards scholarships for secondary and tertiary education for students in these communities. Through education, we can empower these bright young minds to discover their own potential, scale new heights, and ultimately share their gifts with the world. . 🔗 Link in bio to donate to the support of our education programs in Thailand, Laos, Nepal, Tanzania, and Nicaragua! . #givevolunteers #climbforacause #mountrainier #climbrainier #pnwonderland #educationforall #globalcitizen #bethechange (at Mount Rainier) https://www.instagram.com/p/Bz_OFPRn6qv/?igshid=19zesagqm9kjd
