Me - I should get back into climbing.
Me - If I work out, my clothes will fit better
Me, several weeks later - why are all my tops too tight in the forearms?

When you are completely prepared for failure but you end up accidentally succeeding. Well, great, now I gotta finish this problem!
(Happened to me yesterday. I ended up sending it, but there was a good 2 seconds of confused dangling, trying to figure out why I wasn’t back on the mat.)
And then some guy with the beta goes up and is like “it’s easy look!” and does a backflip or something and you’re like “oh, i see”
(Anyway, maybe I’m just a poor athlete but sometimes when I’m frustrated with not being able to climb something new I like to go back and revisit easier, funner problems to clear my head. Feels good, and eh, it’s extra practice anyway!)
My arms are too tired to redo my hair
i flashed a V7 today and amanda said she was filming it on my phone but she wasn’t recording and then i tried it like 3 more times and couldn’t get it :(
Me at home: wow I really love climbing I want to be there now, I think to grow as an athlete I should probably do some exercise outside of this two hour session and really push myself when I'm there!

The route setters at my campus gym only set for themselves and ive just about stopped climbing [there] because of it. They’re all tall, strong men who climb hard. They’ll set something that would be rated mid to high .11 at any other gym, call it a 10a and then get defensive when I criticize their setting. If I cant get off the ground, it’s not a damn 10. They dont set moderate routes and when they try, they fail. I recently found out that Im one of many students who are frustrated and have stopped going to the wall as often. I finally spoke to their boss (since the setters have ignored my gentle criticisms all semester) Ben’s has been too busy to see much of the setting until recently. He agreed with me and said he’d speak with the setters, but that was a week ago and the wall is still just juggy ladders or impossible projects with no in-between. Im okay with falling and failing on a route, that’s how you get better but I am so fucking tired of getting shut down every time I try to climb.
Feeling like I have fibromyalgia lately because my body is so sore everyday from that lift/climb/hike/yoga life.
