Reuben Lara here! I can’t tell you how excited that CSP has come to the iPad Pro! They’ve done an incredible job, because as far as I can tell so far, the entire program has been ported over, every menu item and workflow is there, including my favorite of all, the animation timeline! I really can’t believe that so much has been packed into this app. The brush engine feels identical and the menu system is one-to-one with the desktop app. The animation i’m working on here is about 3000px square, so it’s a little larger than I’d usually be animating at, and because of the size of the frames I’m pushing around, the timeline scrubbing is a bit laggy, but it’s completely acceptable for me for what it’s accomplishing. I started this piece on the desktop, and now I’m able to finish roughing out some frames on the iPad, which means i can be out of my office getting work done! At the moment, Celsys is still working out the Clip Studio cloud file system, but they’ve already enabled save to Dropbox and import from Dropbox functionality, so I’m already able to work between systems. If you’ve never had the budget or circumstances to get a Wacom tablet, this may be the software that gets you up and running in the digital painting and animating space.
