After the fall of Altea, Keith was discovered by a group of rebels who found him an empty ship. They ended up raising Keith, teaching him how to fight since his enemies were still around. Zarkon could not be trusted and there was a chance that he was only a few of the Alteans left since the planet was destroyed. There was no place left for Keith except for the rebels now unless more of his kind could be found. But everyone knew that the chance was low to find any alive since the discovery of Altea being destroyed was figured out by the rebels since they came across the destruction one day. Most of Keith’s memories were a blur since he was actually pretty young when his home got destroyed, it wasn’t too surprising on if he wouldn’t remember anything though.
Years did pass as Keith stayed with the rebels joining their ranks as a fighter while waiting for the day when the defeat of Zarkon would finally happen. They finally got that answer when Voltron appeared once again giving them hope that there was finally a chance. A chance to defeat the large empire that took over half of the universe already.
It was a normal day as they were at Olkarian getting ready for the next attack against Zarkon since the planet was their home base. The raven-haired Altean was helping another ship unload since it had come back from bringing supplies to them. Supplies to help the defeat of Zarkon, that was until an alert was sent out about the sudden appearance of enemies that were approaching the planet. Everyone did move into high alert getting ready for a fight since there was a chance that one could break out.
