Valentine's Art Clock Commission
This collage art clock design was 3 months in the making. It was commissioned from Arizona, where a good friend of a sweet couple asked me to try and capture a lovely moment. I won't try to describe the moment, but you can imagine it as an impromptu dance in a suburban desert courtyard. You can see my more usual art clock designs at the Infinity Arts Etsy shop.
Process Photos:
Placing the first pieces (+ nail biting).
Positioning the second layer.
During a rare Portland snowstorm, I moved the project downstairs because my studio was much too cold. Three days of freezing cold temps and no driving helped me get it finished in time for V-Day! (Yes, I blacked out the messy office scene behind me - thank you PhotoShop.)
All glued up...Mod Podge drying. The lovely wood grain background is integral to the finished composition.
Copper accents in place and ready for escutcheon pins. Finishing the sides with driftwood gray milk paint. The clock will ultimately sit on an easel.
