Clockwork Empires - İnceleme

26 Ekim 2016’da çıkışını gerçekleştiren Clockwork Empires adlı oyunda Age of Empires kesitleri görüyoruz. Tabii ki grafik olarak ve konsept olarak benzemese de mantık aynı diyebiliriz.

Şuan Steam’da %10’luk bir indirim ile 49 lira yerine 44 lira 10 kuruşa sunulan oyunu Gaslamp Games geliştirdi.

Oyunun geliştiricileri geride kalan 4 günde tam 3 güncelleme yayınlayarak aslında yazmaya hazırlandığım hataların hepsini temizlemiş oldular ve açıkçası bu kadar ilgili ve oyuncuların geri bildirimlerini anında değerlendiren bir oyun yapımcı firmayı daha önce görmemiştim.

Oyunu ne kadar Age of Empires’a benzetsem de gerçekten de kurgusal yönden benzersiz bir oyun. Son güncelleme üzerinden gidecek olursam, karakter seçim menüsü ve bilgi panelleri özellikle değiştirildi ve geliştirildi. Böylelikle oyun gerçekten kusursuza yakınlaşıyor. Bunlar haricinde karakterlerimizin durumları, ne olup neler bittiği, neler hissettikleri hepsini bu az önce de bahsettiğim bilgi panelimizde görebiliyoruz.

Aynı zamanda bu oyunu alarak bir nevi yatırım yaptığınızda ilk izlenimlerime göre pişman olmayacağınızı ve hali hazırda hikayede bile tam olarak gelişmek için 1 aylık bir net oyun süresi gerekirken, birçok yeni hikaye ve güncelleme çıkacak gibi duruyor. Bu arada oyunun arayüzü yalnızca İngilizce tarafından destekleniyor, kısa süre içinde birçok dildeki yamanın fanları tarafından çıkarılacağını düşünüyorum. Ayrıca oyun açık kaynakları sistemlerini ve MAC OS X’i de desteklerken %100 verim için Windows 7, 64 bit versiyonlarını tavsiye etmekte..

There would probably be less airships falling out of the sky if they had a different motto. I like to think that the Empire, recognizing that airships are all eventually going to burst in flames and plummet to the ground, have decided to prove their superiority by being the First to do so, and thus showing that the Clockwork Empire is the best at everything up to and including fiery demise.

In case it’s not clear, I am quite enjoying Clockwork Empires. A lot of people are finding it tedious, which is a bit of a surprise to me because I find it quite easy-going and relaxing (until you make caviar out of fish-people eggs and they decide to make steaks out of your entire colony as retribution). Besides, Gaslamp have a great track record of supporting their games, so I’m kind of excited to see where they take it from here.
