I registered for clogging classes finally! Two saturdays a month apart, $50 for the two classes! A deal! I’m soo excited
“Riverdance” gets rightly mocked for its pretentiousness But that highly theatrical jigging got its roots in folk clog dancing (pretty much the same dance on both sides of the Pond). And Michael Flatley could never hold a candle to this old man in mismatched socks.

Rob: “Terrifying and Impossible... I can’t remember what it’s called, Its called like a... clog dance, is it Appalachian clogging, yeah? It’s impossible. What are their names (the chroreographers) again? Yeah, Grey Tucker and his wife. I mean they’re really good. It was fun though. It was obviously something I’ve never done before. Yeah. it was exciting, it was fun.”

i watched the music video for party rock anthem and was like wow you could so easily turn that into clogging! and people have! i love this and i found a cue sheet for it so. that is my new goal

Eclectic Cloggers at NW Folklife
On Monday May 26th (Memorial Day), 2:15-2:45pm, on the Open Air Dance Stage at NW Folklife, the Eclectic Cloggers will perform with their band Moonshine & Turpentine, once again taking to the stage with joyful Appalachian-style percussive dances. The annual NW Folklife Festival is free & all ages, and takes place on the Seattle Center campus Friday - Monday of Memorial Day weekend.
