May (I Prompt You) Day 18: Jet
A little helmet doodle for today
(Thanks to @feelinkeeli for suggesting this clone!)
Jet tries to be cheerful as a rule, but if he were to sit down with a medic or someone, he might actually get convinced to admit he’s not had many good days in his life. That’s the case for most clones! But he’s had a lot more bad days than most people would expect.
So he’s expecting yet another really bad day when he gets recalled to Coruscant within the first couple months of the war.
As he sits like a naughty cadet outside the High Commander General’s office—another thing that would surprise most people is that this isn’t the first time he’s been waiting for judgement outside Fett’s office—he tries to go through everything he’s done throughout the last month that he’s been handling checking on just what the Trade Federation is doing with supplies. Did it have to do with his reports? Did Fett not think of another way to get him new orders? Did he mess up royally?
Finally, two Mandalorians approach. One is Fett, and has him shooting up from his seat and into parade rest, just like he was taught, and the other has green paint and a kama and a round oval of gold painted on their buy’ce and he feels a clench of nostalgia just like he does whenever he sees the ARCs’ kamas.
“Apologies,” Fett says, which is a surprise, and he holds up a plast sack with boxes inside and a frankly tantalising smell coming from it. “We were getting lunch. I hope you like Chalactan.”
“And haven’t eaten yet,” the other Mandalorian adds, voice weirdly familiar. Maybe it’s just because their accent is so much like a cross between Fett and Sergeant Rau(‘ka).
“I haven’t,” Jet lies, because what he did eat was a ration bar. “Thank you.”
