luke shakes out his hair as he takes off his helmet. he’s in high spirits, even as a half-scorched artoo complains about being stuck in an equally blaster-marked x-wing. it’s obvious from the color in luke’s cheeks, as if he and not the ship did the flying. today has been a good day for the rebellion. it feels like they haven’t had one of those since they moved base camp, but maybe things are finally looking up.
he’s so busy trying to pry artoo out of the co-pilot’s seat that he doesn’t notice anyone approaching. not until his head pops up from behind the ship, and there that someone is.
“commander,” he says, surprised. he’s not sure they’ve ever spoken. “sorry, just let me get my droid --- ”
after another long minute of straining and artoo not budging, luke blows out air in defeat.
“actually, could you give me a hand? i think something’s busted.”
“So, you happen to be Slick’s old captain.” Wyndel may have prided himself at times on having information, but even his was limited at times. The bad part about not having many Jedi allies and contacts in the republic. “I always figured you’d be taller.”

Thank you again for 2k followers, here is how I am celebrating the occasion, with a DTIYS! How this one works is you may either recreate the scene as is with the characters in it, change the poses, change the scene or instead of Pheonix with a random trooper of hers you could add in your own oc! If you want to add in your oc you can also change it up, doesn't have to be the same pose and whatnot. The idea is draw your oc with Pheonix or my medic Dax. References for Dax and Pheonix's armor are on the following slides in that order. Rules for entry - Must include either Captain Pheonix or Medic Dax. - Other character can be either your oc or a cannon character. - You may change the pose or scene, just include the required characters. - Can be traditional or digital. - Can be flat colored, shaded or sketchy, does not matter. - Deadline when I hit 4K followers. -Tag me in the photo so it does not get missed (this is really important) - Use the hash tag #RaiJauruDTIYS2K - All entries must be within a PG-13 rating, blood and gore only allowed with a warning slide!
