Do you have any lesbian sublabels like butch, femme, etc?
I don’t identify as butch or femme. I’m rather feminine presenting, but I wouldn’t call myself femme, bc I feel like that’s tied to butchfemme culture, which I love but am not really part of.
Other than that, I’d call myself nonbinary, and I do feel like I’m a solid mix of both fem and masc. I’m more masc on the inside and fem on the outside.
I do like to call myself a dyke and firmly identify with that word.
I wouldn’t adopt any of the top/bottom/dom/sub labels to the extent of assuming them as full blown identities. Don’t get me wrong, I 100% have my preferences and know what I like, but I don’t really feel like I need a label for it.
#I genuinely love butchfemme culture but I feel like I would be soooo picky with the butches I like that finding someone compatible would be#close to impossible#so I don’t feel right formally identifying myself in that culture#summary: fem but not femme. masc but not butch. nonbinary all the way. have my own preferences but don’t like identifying with top/bottom#or dom/sub bc I don’t feel like it’s such an important part of my identity that I need to constantly wear the label#I’m content with just knowing what I like and sharing that with my partners
