i. it's funny how you don’t like being forced to talk to other people because that was exactly how you met sirius. As a result, the two of you got off on the wrong foot but because the two of you had mingling friendship groups, you saw each other often and were forced to interact often and eventually…eventually sirius started noticing how fun it was talking to you and how similar the two of you were to each other when it came to doing things spontaneously despite the dangers, in fact, the two of you got closer because you did something together that the rest of your friendship group were too hesitant to do that being playing on a swing that looked to be 100 years old. 

ii. you and sirius often talk together in french (let's pretend that french is one of the languages you speak!) and end up giggling with each other over the inside jokes the two of you have in french. your friends just look on, rolling their eyes but grinning at how adorable you two are together; as much as they hate you two giggling over something they can’t giggle along to as well, they love the fact that you two were having so much fun more.

iii. however, as much as the two of you have your sweet moments together, that can’t be said when you two have an argument because you’re both as stubborn as the other. you quickly got into the routine of walking away from each other to cool down before returning to reconcile later on when you’re both level headed again. when you return to each other, you both feel so guilty and always end up cuddling in silence but comfort as well, sharing a loving kiss every once in a while. the first time you had a major argument, you two had to walk away from each other to calm down after saying some things that didn’t need to be said. and when you finally reconciled the next day, you had taken the time to bake sirius cookies to apologise and he vowed to sort his anger issues from then on, encouraged by the swell of affection in his heart for you.

iv. as a perfectionist, you appreciate sirius for also being neat. you assumed that he would be pretty messy or keep his room relatively disorganised but he was habitually very neat and tidy because of his upbringing. you appreciated his habits but kissed him every time you saw him actively tidying up his space or organising his things in his environment, slowly replacing his bad memories at home and reinforcing his tidy habits with kinder, more loving memories instead. 

v. aesthetics wise, you and sirius appear as exact opposites, sirius with his biker bad boy appearance, clad in black leather, belts, spikes and unconventional accessories. and then there’s you with your old academia and preppy princess fashion. exact opposites. but sirius adores your aesthetics; he thinks you look adorable, elegant and feminine. and his absolute most favourite thing to do, whenever you wear one of your fat cardigans, he likes to reach under it and wrap his arms around your waist and press his face into your neck for cuddles.

vi. and even though you look amazing in your skirts, he’s always extra cautious when there are other guys around and will subtly cover you so you don’t accidentally flash anyone. he wants you to be able to wear whatever you want comfortably without anyone making you feel uncomfortable or violated in any way. you don’t really realise what he’s doing at first but when you do, you can’t help the smile that stretches across your face and you get into the habit of kissing him sweetly every time he does a gesture like that for you. 

vii. another thing sirius loves doing is watching you do your makeup, you look beautiful before and after but watching you elegantly put your makeup on and put so much care into it made him want to stare. and he would stare all while smiling like a complete goofy, heart in his eyes and a dopey air about him. the best thing about it is that whenever you catch him doing that, you would finish up and then pull him into a soft kiss to snap him out of it — you two have become the lovey dovey couple he used to poke fun at hehe~

viii. also! because of you, sirius has discovered spicy ramen and boba and he will be forever grateful for that. whenever you two would go around muggle london together, your first stop would always be your favourite boba tea place before you both stoked up on your favourite spicy ramen. on cold winter nights, where the two of you found it hard to sleep, you would religiously meet in the kitchens, cook some ramen and eat it together.

The Winter Pearl Festival(closed event)

The Moon was full as a soft blanket of snow covered the gown of the small town as beautiful crystal lights of soft blues, lavender, and silver lighted the gentle town. Everyone was dressed in their warmest clothes of clothing in soft colors that went and complimented the gentle snow. Beautiful flowers were in full bloom, all of which were as pale and white as the snow, with their stem a pale green. Beautiful butterflies and doves were out, along with other gentle animals with their fur as pale and white as snow had joined in the festival. Many were dancing with one another in grace styles that resembled ballet with beautiful flower headdresses in their hair, their hair soft and silky as it moved with their bodies. There were gifts of quilted blankets with beautiful styles of embroidery in soft colors, hand made books and journals, soft jewelry, and make up, clothes, beautiful trinkets, and hand-written letters written in beautiful cursive. Kids were playing with the animals, various foods and sweets were made as Lord Francis was among in them.

He was for once not wearing his normal leather, but a soft, thick pair of pants that were pale in color with matching boots. He wore a long, thick silver trench coot with white gloves, a soft white choker, and pale red blouse. Don’t worry if you don’t know how to play poker! Gameplay details are below the cut. We will be playing for actual gold though ;)

Gameplay

Minimum Blind - Every player places an agreed, equal amount into the pot to buy a ‘chip in’ to the game.

Deal Cards - The dealer distributes cards to their left in a counter-clockwise circle, one at a time, until everyone has five cards. The deck is placed face down in the middle of the table. Everyone can then look at their cards ((/roll20)).

Round 1 - Player to the left of the dealer goes first. You cannot raise yet in Round 1! Open, Bet, Stay, or Fold. The first person to open sets the bet amount and everyone must match that bet if they are not staying/folding.

Replacement Cards - In a counter-clockwise circle, everyone gets a chance to get rid of up to three cards in their hand. ((Optional /roll20))

Round 2 -  Player to the left of the dealer goes first. Raise, Bet, Stay, or Fold. Players must match the bet amount to stay in. 

The Showdown Round - Everyone who has not folded turns their cards over to see who has the winning hand. Winner takes the pot. 

House Rule: In the event of a tie, the two winners will play Blackjack to determine who wins the pot. Using the available card deck, they will have two chances to pull a card and get as close to 21 as possible. ((Both players will take turns to /roll21. They can stay with their first roll, or roll one more time to add both rolls and get as close to 21 as possible. The player with 21 or closest wins. Busting over 21 is an automatic loss. If they both bust over 21 or if it is another tie, the players will have to split the pot 50/50))

The Arrival

Monday has come. The time to enter the project has arrived.

You arrive at the designated site, a rather normal, unassuming church in the city, tucked away between brick warehouses and across from a coffee shop. Could something so powerful really be hidden away in somewhere so innocuous?

The helpers from your benefactors are already hauling equipment inside. You are given your ID, stating your name and role on the project, and they didn't even misspell it this time. You are escorted inside after being told repeatedly to not let anyone outside know about this project, for your safety and theirs.

The church itself is modest, nothing particularly opulent or brilliant about it. It is a humble place, but every sound seems to echo ominously.

There are sleeping quarters set up, and they are not particularly glamorous. Three cots to a room, with thin mattresses laid over them, and a rather generous amount of pillows and blankets. There are a few restrooms, one of them having two showers in it. There are various soaps and shampoos, and plenty of towels.

Other rooms are being set up for the equipment. Computers, tables for tomes, white boards and markers, everything is set up properly, with another room being set up as a makeshift armory for your security team.

After the tour, you are finally lead down into the basement.

Behind a heavy iron door is a smaller chapel, one that looked like it had not been used in a long time. At the end of the room, where the cross should be, is a large glass cylinder, with copper fittings. Inside, a green liquid swirls around continuously, like clouds in a storm.

This is what you are here to study.
