Can you break my silence? Can you light my darkness? Can you fill the holes in my cavern heart? I’ve lost my voice. I’ve become the dark. I’m a cave. My heart behaves for you, talks about whispers of you. You and only you. Can you throw away your identity to love me? As I have done for you… Do you hear the lyrics? Or do you just feel the music? Does my soul speak of fair weather to you? Or does it speak of the upcoming tethers? The ones, where we’ll cut with the glass that fell from our mirrors. Our reflection, it’s just a photograph. Is this the part of the story that I’ll be in? You asked for a shovel and I didn’t know where you buried us. Deep within the holes. I never knew it’d be there. Barren. Cold. Dead. Nothingness. A desert. Broken. You took us by the hands and drowned us in quicksand. This emptiness is us. The art in my poetry is just another way to look at me. Without the poems, you’ll truly get to know me. Sad. Angry. Jealous. Mournful. I won’t be here by morning, no. I’ve already been gone. I just had to realize it. This is my favorite part of the story. The part, where you left us before the start of the race.
