I know it's easy to bash Closed Species in general, but Wof Closed Species are especially stupid considering that Wings of Fire is an actual intellectual property that belongs to Tui and Scholastic, but the stupider ones are those where you can't even create your own design, you have to pay for a pre-made design like ... that's weird as f, like, I understand adoptables, I understand (though disagree) with closed species that ask you to pay to create a design ... but both at the same time is stupid af

i think everyone should make ocs for closed tribes without permission forever because closed tribes are fucking stupid and anyone who made a closed tribe can literally kiss my ass.

I hate “closed” tribes. Hot take- Tribes like Dewwings are just Leafwings2 - you shouldn’t be creating tribes or monetary value towards an IP you down own the rights to- they are just for flashy show because “look! I have a cool dragon, and hahah you don’t!”

I feel like Tui wouldn’t like them, simply because IPs like that make a lot of money, and publishers don’t like non-ip owners encroaching on that

Sorry this is the “I hate closed tribes” anon, I have another point-

The most it is is also artificial scarcity, they legally cannot do anything to someone who makes one of them, besides try and shame you out of doing it. It’s almost predatory.
