They met while they both were getting clean, and they found a support system within each other. Sam was there through every up and down of the process, and your character was there for her. They would have been pratically inseparable from one another until Sam decided it was time to come back to Lakeham. You character could have been supportive, or maybe they secretly didn’t want her to go? They could have been more than friends, still could be, I am not opposed to it.

CONNECTION DESCRIPTION

Greta was left at the hospital unclaimed by her birth parents and adopted when she was a baby. This character would be her half sibling. They could be on her mother’s side or her father’s side. Honestly if you wanted to go with a full sibling because her parents stayed together after giving Greta up, I’d be cool with that too. I hc that Greta’s parents were teenagers either from Lakeham or a neighboring town. Greta’s existence is probably a big secret in the family.

For this plot we could either have Greta do like Ancestry DNA or something to try and find her birth family because she’s curious, or your character could find out the family secret from the parent(s) they share then decide to try and find Greta either for their own reasons or to reunite them with their lost daughter.

Personality, upbringing, and job are all up to player. I just really think it would be interesting for Greta to reunite with her birth family and see how that changes her perspective on her life.

CONNECTION DESCRIPTION

This character could be either male or female, as Gabriel would be looking for someone who can do their job well rather than of a specific gender. Gabe owns the Hartlington Hotel, a successful business in town which requires him to work quite a lot of hours during the day to keep it up. As he’s also somewhat of a workaholic, most of his life circles around his business and he’s always willing to do whatever it takes to achieve his goals.

As he also has a six-year-old daughter to care for, his schedule is often busy, hence the need for a secretary. The character would have to be ambitious in their work and willing to go the extra mile if needed, keeping track of things in his everyday life for him. As they would work very closely together, they would probably also have to get along very well. Of course, for plot purposes it could be fun for them to not get along well too, or maybe at least starting out that way. If a female character, it could also be possible to have some tension between them to make it even more interesting.
