Deep in the dark sterile room of medical recovery A. Lucy felt her eyebrows scrunch together as a repetitive beeping filled her ears. It was annoying and caused her to let out a low groan. That damn beeping has been getting on her nerves for quite some time. But she couldn’ t seem to open her eyes to inquire as to what it was. She let out another groan, this time a little louder and increasing with her rising frustration of the what the beeping was. Despite every muscle of hers aching in pain, she slowly sat up. A hiss escaped from her throat. Instinctively, she reached up with a trembling hand and touched her eyes. That damn beep was getting faster as she paused feeling something soft that was keeping her in that state of confusion and darkness. She grasped onto it before pulling it off with that stupid beeping still ringing faster in her ears. It was when her eyes were free she finally had let out a breath she didn’t know she had been holding. With that exhale was when her eyes finally opened.
Neon brown eyes looked around wildly before settling on her hands. Her hands shook with pain causing her to let out a small noise. That stupid beeping had settled back to it slow pace making her sigh. She swung her sore legs over the side of the too soft medical bed she was on. Bare feet touched the metal plated flooring making her momentarily flinch. She took another breath before starting to pull off little stickers with cords attached off and rose uneasily to her feet. The motion was so quick that it had knocked over a small tray littered with small medical instruments. It clattered to the floor, being the only noise in the otherwise dead quiet room. With that stupid beeping silenced, she sighs before letting out a quiet gasp. Her team. She wobbled a bit as she approached a thin curtain that was blocking her from seeing more. She brushed past it with ease before pausing once again. The beds on her left were empty, three slots to be exact. She furrowed her eyebrows, it said their names above the beds but they were clearly not here. What in the hell was happening? She pushed down her increasing panic when seeing a couple of things in their designated area were a bit...disheveled as well. An IV stand was laying on its side with the bag’s contents spilling onto the floor. Another medical tray spilled, a small display monitor was even on its side and cracked. It appeared... She wasn’t the only one out of bed.
It was when she heard talking approaching the incoming metal locked door on her right, her eyes widened. Pulling down the gown she was in she turned on her heel and bolted. She was surprised as she had made it to the other door on the opposite end of the room rather quickly. Somehow, all without disturbing the others that still seemed to be in their beds, the beeping noise giving it away. Lucy knew how much trouble she would be in, but she IS going to find her team. The door slid open for her, no doubt used just a little bit earlier with how it was unlocked. Probably a nurse had forgotten about it to her relief... Lucy eyed the other door once more before starting to sprint once again as it, however, remained open as she had disappeared down the corridor.
