kathy tugs at his sleeve, and walker wants to just leave the man alone -- he’s got enough problems and enough to worry about with his brothers and sister and... well, everything -- but kathy’s looking up at him with those worried blue eyes. walker keeps his gun halfway-trained on the man -- the stranger doesn’t have to know nobody’s ever taught walker how to shoot -- since they’ve only just met. the guy could be faking the whole thing; walker has seen people pull worse shit in the last few months -- well, before that, too, to be honest -- to get the jump on unsuspecting folks with bleeding hearts. but he steps a little closer in spite of the mistrust, leaning a bit to get a closer look at the man’s bloody appendage.
