✨ How to Cleanse Your Closet Spiritually & Energetically ✨
Your closet holds energy. Every item carries memories, moods, and vibrations. When you spiritually cleanse your wardrobe, you're making space for alignment, confidence, and manifestation magic. Here's how to shift the vibe 👇
🌬 1. Air It Out
Open your closet doors and windows. Let fresh air + sunlight move stagnant energy. Even 10 minutes helps shift the vibe.
🧹 2. Remove Everything
Take everything out. Lay your clothes on the bed or floor so you can handle each piece intentionally.
💭 3. Check the Energy
Hold each item and ask yourself: Does this feel like me now? Does it carry heavy memories? Trust your gut. If it doesn’t spark joy or power, it might be time to let it go.
🕯 4. Smoke or Sound Cleanse
Use ethically sourced sage, palo santo, incense, or sound (chimes or a singing bowl) to cleanse the physical space AND the clothing itself. Pass each piece through the smoke or sound, especially thrifted or gifted items.
💧 5. Crystal Placement
Place crystals like clear quartz, selenite, or black tourmaline in your closet corners or on shelves. They protect, purify, and recharge your space over time.
🌸 6. Infuse Intention
Spray a DIY moon water + lavender mist or write an intention like:
"My closet is a reflection of my highest self. I feel empowered, loved, and supported in everything I wear."
🪞 7. Final Touch: Mirror or Affirmations
Add a small mirror or hang affirmation cards inside. Let your closet be a mini altar to your evolving self.
✨ A spiritually cleansed closet = a closet that loves you back.
Outfits hit harder when the energy is aligned 💕
✨ Zodiac Closet Audit: What to Keep & What to Toss Based on Your Sign 🧹♻️
Time to cleanse your closet with cosmic precision! Let's channel that zodiac energy into a wardrobe refresh—find out which pieces deserve a second chance and which ones are so last retrograde.
♈ Aries – Keep: Statement jackets, bold sneakers
Toss: Anything beige or that screams “I’m trying to blend in”
Why? You’re a trendsetter, not a wallflower.
♉ Taurus – Keep: Quality knits, cozy neutrals
Toss: Cheap fabrics, impulse buys from midnight scrolling
Why? You deserve luxury—even in loungewear.
♊ Gemini – Keep: Versatile basics, funky accessories
Toss: Clothes you’ve only worn once but felt “meh” in
Why? You need options, not dead weight.
♋ Cancer – Keep: Sentimental pieces that still spark joy
Toss: That emotional support hoodie from 2013
Why? Growth, babe. Growth.
♌ Leo – Keep: Glam pieces, gold jewelry
Toss: Anything that makes you feel basic
Why? You weren’t born to blend in.
♍ Virgo – Keep: Crisp button-downs, anything tailored
Toss: Clothes with mystery stains or missing buttons
Why? Function + fashion = Virgo bliss.
♎ Libra – Keep: Romantic blouses, matching sets
Toss: Mismatched chaos and “just in case” clutter
Why? Your closet should reflect your inner harmony.
♏ Scorpio – Keep: Black essentials, power boots
Toss: Pieces you associate with old wounds
Why? You're transforming—let your style do the same.
♐ Sagittarius – Keep: Travel-ready layers, bold prints
Toss: Clothes you “might” wear when you settle down (you won’t)
Why? Your closet should keep up with your spirit.
♑ Capricorn – Keep: Timeless classics, power blazers
Toss: Trendy fads you bought under pressure
Why? You invest in longevity, not chaos.
♒ Aquarius – Keep: Quirky thrift finds, futuristic silhouettes
Toss: Anything that feels like everyone else’s
Why? You’re the blueprint—not the copy.
♓ Pisces – Keep: Flowing fabrics, dreamy pastels
Toss: Outfits that drain your energy
Why? You dress for vibes, not rules.
🌟 Pro tip: If it doesn’t reflect your current self—or your cosmic glow-up—it’s time to say goodbye (with gratitude, ofc).
👗🧼🛍 Closet Cleanse: A term I’ve been using since I started to offer this service to clients in 2010. It isn’t just about cleaning out your closet, it is about cleansing your style palate, looking at what you have with new eyes, daring to dress authentically and connect with who you are TODAY; not 10 pounds from now or who you were 5 years ago. I worked with the mompreneur, musician and all around human beam of shining light 💫@inspired_mom_boss and am so thrilled with the results of her cleanse and commitment to herself. Swipe to see before and after of her closet and some great looks we were able to style with the clothes she already has. My motto: Creativity over Consumption. ♻️ She’s now ready for stage, drop off, dinner, time with her children, dates and all points in between. Personal style should be joyful and a reflection of who you are not a reflection of someone else’s trends! 💥 #ClosetCleanse #Style #StylistLisaG #Fashion #Style #mompreneur #Closet #BeforeAndAfter #BeYourself #Authenticity #Embrace #BodyPositive #SelfEsteem #Styled #Motherhood #FemaleEmpowerment #IamWoman #WomenInBusiness #Women #womensupportingwomen #PersonalGrowth #Vintage #Creativity #EvolutionVintage #EcoStylist #SustainableStyle (at Cambria, California) https://www.instagram.com/p/By0R1_mAOpt/?igshid=1vugruo983gc1

My style has changed significantly since I started working from home almost 3 years ago. Inspired by my clients' closet cleanse last weekend, I just did a MAJOR closet clean out. It was gut wrenching to let go of my clothes (some tags still on them) for next to nothing (I don't want to spend the time to sell online). But it was so good to get down to a minimalist wardrobe with stuff I actually wear. This top I bought 3 years ago, shot it for the blog and I never wore it again. This is what happens when you have too much stuff and nowhere to wear it. I was very intentional about what I kept and thought of my actual daily uniform: jeans or denim shorts and a tee or lounge wear and dresses. I couldn't let go of this super cute polka dot shirt though (I feel like it's too loud on me) so I made it work! It's also so much easier to make outfits now that everything in my closet fits and there's fewer things to rummage through. I also feel more like me. I tend to make really ridiculous crazy color purchases that I never wear. Having to practically give away thousands of dollars of clothing has really helped me focus on what I really need. I highly recommend doing this and if you need some help and live in the Los Angeles area, you know who to call...(not ghostbusters 👻) #closetcleanse #minimalist #capsulewardrobe #personalstylist (at Los Angeles, California)
