Yo just wanted to say thanks for being so frank about your mental health stuff, esp. things like your Stop It series. I really appreciate it laid out like that and I actually have been working these types of sentiments into my daily routine/coping toolkit
you’re so welcome! i definitely find that like.... idk. a lot of mental health content is very Soft and is very fixated on being Valid and while that is 100% fine and i understand why it helps other people, for me personally it just... doesn’t do much? (or worse, i get sucked into a vortex of “[on my 14th day of not doing anything and not trying to help myself or improve] Um, It’s Self Care?” - which isn’t the fault of Soft, Gentle Mental Health Content but is just an example of why it isn’t helpful for me)
i personally need PRACTICAL, FRANK shit, that’s solution-oriented and pragmatic and okay admittedly a little grumpy, and i ended up just making it myself instead of hoping it would eventually show up. i’m really happy to hear that the way i approach things can be helpful for other people too
