A Suzanne Says...Busy Pop-Up Day

First thing this morning, we had the launch of our new mobile pop-up library trailer.  It’s like a mini-library on wheels (attached to a truck that pulls it).  Pretty cool!  There were t-shirts and buttons for staff, and balloons, donuts and coffee for the patrons.

The rest of the day was sugar highs and lows (lots of leftover donuts).  Blind Date with a Book is back.  Chris decorated my “date” very nicely by drawing all over the paper wrapping.

And someone sucked in some balloon helium and did the closing announcement with a high squeaky voice.  Very funny!

A Suzanne Says...Summer is Starting

The summer reading club program starts on Monday! 

A little girl came up to me after our 1/2 hour closing announcement, repeating that we were closing.  I told her yes we were because I want to go home.  It was cute.

Annalis stopped by, she’s going to be back at Central!  Hurray!

I gave a tour of Central to a new Page.

Highlight of my day...I guess I was missed at a recent YA event (I couldn’t attend because I had plans...yes, I have a life outside the library).  One of the teens asked Maddie where I was, but didn’t know my name.  So she described me as, “Scary, but awesome!”  Maddie said, “Oh, that’s Suzanne!”  That’s SO me!  It’s going on my tombstone!

Forgot - last month I celebrated my 10th anniversary at the library!  Thanks for making it fun so time flies, my library peeps!
