About the skirt post, you said girl babies are more often put in decorative clothing which can be restrictive, which I totally agree with, but looking at a lot of baby boys clothes, they’re often made with slightly stiffer material and putting a baby boy in somewhat form fitting(for a baby) slightly stiff jeans and jacket could be more restricting than a baby girl in a jersey dress and cardigan(i.e. legs and arms more free to kick and move)
Yes, when selecting clothes for babies and small toddlers you should ask yourself how this clothing restricts their movement regardless of gender.
Babies and toddlers are literally learning how to move/walk and we should make that task easier on them with clothing that won’t hinder their movements as this may act as an unintentional deterrent towards them moving which will hinder their efforts to learn how to move and thus grow in independence as all human beings should.
